That's like trying to make an insurance claim when you don't have any insurance on your car... should've paid the fire protection fee. Once again someone has to learn the hard way, and once again the forum asshat has to Signature locked for editing a moderator's warning. Zymurgist |

Also, the International Association of Fire Fighters condemn the actions of the fire fighters involved for letting this happen.

Felonious aggravated assault in Tennessee carries a sentence of 2-12 years... also attacking the fire chief will make the DA pursue the greatest sentence. Signature locked for editing a moderator's warning. Zymurgist |

Not really the same, then you try to fraud someone after the fact when the damage is done, here some damage could've been prevented.
The message that the fire department would stand idle by and watch your home burn if you didn't pay could've been sent more subtle, I doubt it ever was.
Originally by: OP article Gene Cranick, owner of the now-gutted house in Obion County, says he called 911 and offered to pay whatever it would take to get the firefighters to act, but they said they wouldn't do anything, WPSD reports.
Like calling the insurance company after you've had the accident to get coverage for the accident Signature locked for editing a moderator's warning. Zymurgist |

No they didn't
Dog meat is a very delicate meat, over cooking it absolutely ruins the flavor.
Cat meat too.

They did their job... they stopped the fire from spreading to the smarter people's houses. The people that actually paid the money for them to protect their properties Signature locked for editing a moderator's warning. Zymurgist |

The fact that you backtracked doesn't make ME the one who jumped the gun and it certainly doesn't do your argument any good that Americans are a selfish lot by citing an example of it written by a Swedish guy. L-O-L
hahaha
I didn't even need to give you a shovel.

Let me break it down for you:
Sweden has one of the best qualities of life on earth. This poster is Swedish who also happens to side with the overall American point of view. Don't you think that if in a country like Sweden these attitudes persist that it would also persist in the US?
Is this clear? Do you see the line I was drawing? JUST BECAUSE YOU LIVE IN A CHARITABLE NATION DOESN'T MAKE YOU A CHARITABLE PEOPLE. Does that make sense?
Best qualities of life indeed

They should be blacklisted from the dept.
didn't have permission to use the county's fire fighting gear... short of trying to douse the fire with buckets from home they couldn't do anything or they'd lose their jobs and then they'd be in the same boat as the guy that doesn't have a house now.
